Help us help others
Found something someone else has lost? Here's how to do it right — in three steps.
1. Valuables and electronics → the police
Money, valuable jewellery, electronics, and expensive clothing must always be handed to the police — regardless of which venue found them.
Source: the Danish Lost Property Act, section 1(2), consolidated act no. 879/2014 as amended by act no. 124/2021.
2. Other items → hand them in where you found them
Found something in a shop, a train, an airport, or somewhere else? Hand it in there. Since 2021, the venue must keep it for at least 30 days before they may sell, give away, or discard it.
3. Find the right place
Search for the place where you found the item to see how to contact them.
4. Soon you'll be able to register found items directly here
